Does anyone (like me) think a DXi to VSTi adapter would be useful ?.
If FXpansion can make a vsti to dxi adapter then why not the other way around ?.[/code]

Fruity Loops uses DXi's I believe... ANd you can use it as a VST.

You can use Console (or FruityLoops!). There can't be many DXis that aren't also VSTis though - Cyclone and LiveSynth Pro...?

livesynth pro would be useful - isnt it considered THE best .sf2 player outside a [spit] creative card ???

I´m not quite shure on that. Go and try "Jeskola XS-1" vsti
It plays soundfonts extremely well and it is cheap too. OLE

dont really want to take this too OT but weve had a few discussions around this and folks with access to both [i dont - ive tested xs-1 but dont have sonar] say on balance [afai can tell] that livesynth pro just shades it
id be happy to have a vsti version of livesynth if only to do a straight comparison slainte

Doesn't the Fruityloops SF Player use the LiveSynth Pro engine?
I may be wrong?? | |
| Deuce | Posted: 23rd April 2003 15:29 |
No I'm not wrong...
...from the Fruityloops SF Player helpfile: "This plugin uses the LiveSynth SF2 rendering engine".

Fruity Soundfont player doesn't support foot controller hold messages.. Sucks if you play keys...
My favourite for SF2's is Reason 2

Im gonna have to agree- Reason 2 and the NNxt is great for soundfonts...

I'll agree with the Reason 2 people here.
Back(almost)on topic-what I'd like to see is a native Logic instrument to VST adapter.I'm impressed with some of the instruments that can only be used in Logic, but not enough to 1)buy a dead end product(PC),or 2)buy a Mac. ew |
