| Author | Topic: create sf2 for Crystal? |

I want to convert home-grown aiffs into .sf2 files, so they can be opened as waveforms in Crystal.
I am unable to make simple, standalone sf2 files in Polyphontics, and the file names are all messed up, anyway. On OSX Mac. Any other suggestions for converting aiffs or wavs into single .sf2 (not bank) files. (Or maybe it's necessary to create a bank with one instrument to do this.) Thanks! I use vsampler 2 to make soundfonts.
you just load your wav or aiffs into vsamp and export to soundfont. you load one file and make a sf2 out of it. I think the other option that gets mentioned is awave studio (not quite sure I got that one right)

I think Vsampler and Awave are both Windows only. For OS X I haven't seen anything else than Polyphontics.
Have you tried the Crystal users forum? I know Glenn O is a Polyphontics user. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/crystal-users/ /Yoss
