AuthorTopic: Closest emulation of the ARP Pro Soloist yet!

Hi!

I recently downloaded Realmarco´s Absynth patches and on the "Analog Stuff" patch, the 31st preset "For Leeds" sounds quite like the Oboe preset heard on "Cinema Show" by Genesis.

What do you think about it? Are there any more Pro Soloist soundalikes around?

Peace.

Pete

Its been a long time since I've played the Pro soloist but it was a beautiful sounding instrument. If you want the ARP sound though you have to check out the Oddity, it's nailed the ARP vibe totally and is awesome for leads. You can download the demo at www.gmediamusic.com

I also got the M-Tron and extra sounds and found that the famous DGX/Pro Soloist Fuzz Guitar sound is there Smile

Sonic Station has some very cool prog leads, including quite a few that are clearly based on old Genesis tracks. Now if only Kontakt had a true legato mode, I'd be made up.

Personally, I know nothing about sound design, but I Know What I Like. Wink
