Ive just found a picture of my dream synth setup...

Can somebody PLEASE make one as a vsti?

There is just nothing around that sounds like them

I used to carry a MemoryMoog around to gigs in the mid-80's. To make a realistic VSTi the developer needs to make sure it goes out of tune weekely. Every Sunday I would spend about 3 hours with my little screw driver, turning those pots and watching the dial on a tuner. Confused

now THERES an idea for an innovative SE synth

a vsti that goes randomly out of tune each time you initialise it

not so innovative... the example i just posted has a sample and hold module controlling the pitch of each oscillator, and the value is retriggered on each note.

Very Happy

dream setup is hard to say, but since I played a triton, I want one very much so......I know, I know, but I like the sounds of it ALOT!!!

sorry, maybe i should clear something up - my main point was that "random" variations in pitch aren't so innovative (but they are sometimes the key to emulating certain instruments.. Very Happy )

but i should clarify - this mp3 was not generated with synthedit. it's a synth made with the oft-ignored vaz modular, which has had the same basic algorithms for its oscillators/filters for years and years. it's a pity that even most brand new software created from scratch still can't touch it for analogue emulations (in my very humble opinion, of course)...

Did you ever own a CS60 or a CS80,Robert?The CS60s actually aren't THAT bad-mine's still fairly in tune after 3 years since the last tuning, but it doesn't go anywhere. The CS80s were HORRIBLE,though-the trim pots moved at the slightest provocation, and the internal temperatures were high enough to throw the tuning off, too.Add to that the fact that they weighed over 200 pounds so they weren't exactly handled gently, and Crying or Very sad Mad Crying or Very sad

I still want my damn Minimoog VSTi Mad ! Arturia and G-Media are on the right track with their very good emulations of classics, but damnit why not the Minimoog Mad Crying or Very sad Mad . It's the synth everyone would want, and no one has, and please don't say Model E. The Arturia Modular may be the closest thing to a Mini right now, but I don't have the time, inclination, GUI space, or cash for that thing right now.

I understand that Creamware's Minimax does the trick. However, it comes with a soundcard..... Sad

I never found MiniMoogs that useable..... certainly they sound good on their own, but I always used to have problems getting one to fit into my mixes .... too full for alot of types of music, especially dense dance mixes. And they're not really that flexible.

For my real dream setup I'd have to get an OSCar again, an Obie 8-voice, maybe a Jupiter (not too sure whether I'd want a 6 or an Cool a Waldorf Wave and probably a Korg PS modular (or a Serge). Of course the problem there is that I'd have to get out all of my hardware from the attic and go buy a desk too, so the actual setup wouldn't necessarily be such a dream to use ..... oh, I'd have to buy a bigger house too.
