After reading a few reviews (Keyboard and bojango), I'm ready to buy Steinberg's D'cota (yeah, yeah, I'm a junkie) - how well does it work in Logic 6?

Hi Ned,
I'm pretty sure that D'Cota doesn't support AudioUnits, which is required for Logic 6....
If you want a better solution, check out the TERA by VirSyn. It's AudioUnit/ OSX ready. Better yet, VirSyn programmed both the D'Cota and the TERA, so you get the best of both in one...

Given D'Cota is coming from Steinberg, I seriously doubt they'll support AU in Logic 6. You could probably use the Fxpansion AU-VST adapter.

As the other poster noted, this was written by the creators of Virsyn Tera, which comes in AU format.

Hey everybody, Logic 6 does support VST... in OS 9.2.2. That's the system I use everyday for composing. So, any Logic 6 + D'cota users out there? Help

sorry man. Just assumed that if you are talking about Logic 6, you were using OSX.
Frankly, Emagic's implementation of VST support in OS9 was never that good. I found this out the hard way trying to make HALion work properly in Logic, while the ESX24 worked just fine. It's what really makes AudioUnits stand out so nicely. Very Happy
Just my opinion though...

Musitech, here are a few VSTi I use successfully in Logic 6 (OS 9.2.2): Absynth, Atmosphere, CM101, Crystal, Junglist, Junox, Pro53, pHATmatik Pro, Vivaldi, Slayer, Stylus, Trilogy, Vokator, QuadraSID... Surprised Very Happy Very Happy

So you can see why I would expect that D'cota might work for me! I just want to be sure before I buy it... Wink
