man i am sad to say I downloaded the demo so long ago, and it did not "do it" for me, so i had another go at it, and I am going to buy it on the 15th.........so my question Is why doesn't it have higher marks on the review charts?
I knocked this "demo" up in about 2 minutes playing live and also used arksun's presets he/she posted.............good tasty SHIT imho, so all you owners of albino review it!!!!!!!!!! Embarassed

(this is non-quantized since I love to play live and i am 1/2 drunk Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing ...............weeeeeeee)

doubt it...you cant judge a whole instrument on the strength of a few sounds...

this goes for anything else just like demo mp3's easymode Rolling Eyes

I have heard demo songs made by "professionals" and they did nothing for me............but I tried the demo out anyways..........I guess it all comes down to what have you EVER posted????

Hey Mighty,

the background sound is very cool. The lead is not my thing. Albino seems to has it's strengths in more softer sounds me thinks. Not the super aggresso synth. Good as a contrast.

SHEESH!
Ah come on, Mighty. How dare you post something not up to scratch! Rolling Eyes

I thought the idea here at KVR was discussing the idea that we use music to express ourselves, and post tunes just to show our 'mates' what fun we're having. Anyone is open to criticism of the likes of 'it's not my thing, especialy the part at 0:30 etc...', 'ah, this needs work' or 'what the hell were you on when you wrote this? Laughing' (note the smiley)!'

Don't let the buggers get you down, Mighty!

oh and about the tune...what the hell were you on when you wrote this? Laughing No, but seriously, I agree with Bajongo. I like the phased synth in the background, and the other background part which comes in at about 0:27 but the lead is a bit too raw for me. Now get some coffee down your neck, sober up and sort it out! Wink

Thanks for the comments mighty, glad you like the presets I made Smile

I listened to your demo. Hmm it's. Interesting Smile
Because a lot of the sounds I made use BPM locked delays it really needs to be quantized to get the best out of them.

Just in case anyone else is interested but hasn't visited the LinPlug forum, I've created an Albino soundset for people to use, freely in their own productions. I've also made an mp3 demo showing them in action.

You can grab these from my website at:

http://www.arksun.co.uk

Or use these direct links:

http://www.rapaccioli.freeserve.co.uk/Arksun_Albino_Soundset.zip

and the demo:

http://www.rapaccioli.freeserve.co.uk/Into_The_Light.mp3

Demo made using multiple Albino's only, running in Cubase.

I realise some people have been having problems grabbing the files, I am in the process of moving them all to a new server host which should hopefully be up and running in the next 24 hours.

Regards

Arksun

I liked the demo tune you put up. It gave me an idea how you piece together a song, and some new ideas to try on some of my own work. Oh Yeah, I've had the sounds since Saturday and they are top notch! This should be a place to share works in progress without getting slammed for rough edges...

Cheers!
