Anyone doing this? What type of memory load are you suffering when loading several instruments at once?

I don't own Stylus, but I own Trilogy and Atmosphere. That question is a bit difficult to answer for a few reasons, but I'll give you other parts of that as well.

Troligoy is next to NO CPU usage. I've heard the same for Stylus. Atmosphere on the other hand, CAN take more memory and CPU. I have 1 gig of ram in my machine. If you only have 256, then you're going to have issues. BUT, some patches are pretty small, so this might not be an issue. But if you load in the Cathedral Strings and Accoustic XXL Bass, that's what? 400 megs of ram? It depends what you pick really. I'd really recommend at minimum 768 megs of ram to run all of those, if not at least 1 gig minimum. I'd also recommend SlicyDrummer and Fillin Drummer over Stylus for ease of use, provided you're runing Cubase or Cakewalk products for your main sequencer. I've not heard really nice 'ease of use' stories with working with Stylus in comparison.

So, in short, yes, you should be fine, depending what patches you pick to load, provided you have enough memory. Some Atmosphere patches are a lot higher on CPU usage, so take note.

The real thing I am thinking of for Stylus is the record scratch collection of patches and samples. I probably would not even use the loops past the early phases of song construction. Trilogy seems to be a good bass solution, and I am looking for a good bass solution. Both synth bass and multi-samples, but again probably no loops.

But isn't $289 a bit high for a few record scratch samples though? Trilogy has an AWESOME amount of bass samples to work with, and they're very good to boot. I also like removing the LPF on a lot of them and playing them as leads instead, as the sounds are just so 'fat'.

I will be doing this soon.

I already have stylus and atmosphere and I can run the crap out of each before my computer starts to "suffer"

I have an amd 2400 and a gig of ram........it can be done with all 3 plugs just fine
