I am new to cubase so I have a problem with the banks-instruments.I've downloaded from this site a few banks and I can't get them to work.
Could someone give me a guide on what to do??
Also how can I change tempo or key in a song ( I mean lets say that the song has 3 or more differend tempos..)

OK first off we'll need more info on what softsynth's you are trying to load banks into and how you're going about doing it in a little more detail. Second, you can't change the tempo during a song in Cubase. You set the tempo in the beginning and work at that tempo for the song. Maybe some other users have a workaround for this though. As for changing the key of a song, again... need more info! If you're using midi than you could just use the transpose function that's on each midi track. If you're talking about recorded audio then I don't believe you could do this natively with Cubase. Mind you, I'm using version 5 but so far I've only been playing with the SX demo. SX may have a tool in it for changing pitch without changing tempo (like in Acid) but I don't know for sure. Did you purchase Cubase? If so you should have manuals. Even the help files in the demo are useful.

That is not true for Cubase 5 or SX. The Master Track allows you any number of Tempo changes during a song.

Hmm, you're right... I just checked it out. I wasn't aware of this feature. Learn something new everyday I guess. Maybe I can ask ya something. I've noticed that in SX you can't use an image as the part background... is this correct? I've looked everywhere but can't find the option. And second, most importantly, I've noticed that the location markers must be moved either by click on the tiny triangles and dragging or by holding either CTL or ALT and clicking in the location field. I am so used to the ease of doing this in Cubase VST 5 where you just left click to set let marker and right click to set right marker and double click to move the song position bar for playback. Is there no way to use the old method?? Thanks in advance.

You're right about what you can't do in SX related to Part Backgrounds and ease of moving the markers. If you want in on the complaining go to http://www.Cubase.net.

As for this thread, let Semic post his needs for Bank Loading and discuss Cubase there or PM me.

About the banks?
I'm looking for a drumkit that sounds close to original ones.I have downloaded 2 banks 'Lotuz-Dynamo-LM9' & 'beatz001' that I found on the site but nothing.
I use version 4. when I open the program I go to PANELS-VST INSTRUMENTS- choose the LM-9 and then I go to FILE-LOAD BANK
but the sound doesn't change!!!
