Ol' Blackbelt has a chance to get a killer deal on a legal LM-4 MKII, but the seller only has the manual and CDs (and from the pictures they seem 100% legit), but NOT the registration card. Now if I know my Steinberg software as well as I think I do (and lord knows I have had to reinstall it enough times over the years), some of their apps require a serial key to unlock and install (i.e. Cubase SX, PPG), and some don't (or maybe I was smoking something when I installed my VG-EE, but it didn't seem to ask for my registration number).
So, do you need the registration number to install the LM MKII on the PC? Call me square (or honest), but getting a "cracked" registration code to replace his non-existent one is NOT an option. Thanks and luv from the Chocolate City... BBJ PS And before you tell me that there are WAAAY better drum machines out there, I already know!!! I OWN the RMIII. But, geek that I am, I like certain things about the LM series UI. Sometimes I am decidely low-brow in my choice of tools

As far as I remember: No serial number needed for the installation.

Bajongo,
Man, you reply fast! Thanks for info! You are now added to my "Germans who Kick Ass" list, right along side of Peter from LinPlug and that chick from Run Lola Run (not that you all don't kick ass, just that some of y'all kick exceptional amounts of ass!!!). Can anyone confirm Bajongo's memory? BBJ
