Does anyone know where I can find a drum machine software to produce a drumbeat for rock songs. I wanna be able to incude fill ins here and there and also be able to export it to wave.

My OS is WinXP.

Thanks!

Stefan

You might want to keep an eye out for the upcoming BFD from www.fxpansion.com . It won't be cheap, but I think it'll be worth it.

I know, that's probably why it's so hard to find the software that I'm looking for. But I don't have a band right know, and I really wanna keep making music...

my humour is too droll apparently. Try battery with a good rock kit, and roomish reverb effects perhaps?

I tried battery, but it doesn't really do what I want.
I want a program that's similar to the one presented on this page: http://www.guitar.sk/drums/drums_main.htm (but better).

Thanks though!

then why not just get that program?
are you just looking for some stand alone program?
From the six minute demo I just suffered through, there's nothing amazing that couldn't be done in dr008 or battery..

From what you describe, FXpansion's DR-008 plugin with MusicLab's Slicy Drummer and Fill-In Drummer MFX plugins would do what you want.

Though as Bluedad points out, if it's a standalone program you're after, why not just get that program?

Because I thought it sucked, but I liked the concept.

Another option could be to use Band-In-A-Box to generate the drum patterns and send its MIDI output to a high-quality multisampled drum kit loaded into Battery, DR-008 or a sampler. I've been playing around with the free ns_kit and think it might work well for rock:

-"Drumkit from Hell" is special Rock/Metal drumkit
-"LM4 Mark II" has also very nice Rockkits. It costs only 75 EUR at Thomann's.
