Hi there

We are in the middle of a major update of the Ethereal PC VST synth and have decided to release a Beta version of it, which can be downloaded at http://www.concretefx.com/EtherBeta.zip

Ethereal2 still needs a lot doing to it in terms of optimization, bug fixing ect, but this Beta is usable and show most of the major changes.

The major changes are

Envelopes are much more flexible, instead of step envelope points you can now add / deleting point (up to 32 envelope points) and also change the curvature between envelope points. The envelope also now loops between two points so allowing all the envelopes to have attacked, sustain and release sections.

Each oscillator has now uses two sounds, so the oscillators can be made to sound fatter.

User draw waveforms and built-in samples have been added.

Each oscillator has it's own FM source and the output of one osc can be you as the FM source for another oscillator

Improved effects section , now includes a reverb

Changed GUI and controls

Thanks to jzero for all his help, this update was mostly in response to some of the points he made in his review.

Any problems or suggestion would be most welcome, our email is mail@concretefx.com

Hi there.

At the moment there is no presets, but if any one wants to create any presets that would be very nice. What I'am thinking of doing , when the full version is out, is running a competition for best presets with the prize being my synths (Ethereal, Industry and Granite) .

Cheers

Hi there

Just looking through my web stats, some of you may have downloaded the old beta of Ethereal2. If you download Ethereal2, at http://www.concretefx.com/EtherBeta2a.zip again you should get the new beta

Cheers
