Anyone else having problems with midi note off with Atmosphere?
If I play say a 5 note chord, and then move 2 notes, the redundant notes sometimes hang on. I am told that Windows ME,(I use) is crap and too slow for audio, and that 512MB is not enough for Atmosphere, and basically the system cant cope with the information overload, hence the hanging notes. Seems the sdvice may be sound, anyone experienced simular problems?

Yeah I would go with the RAM thought, I have atmosphere, and use it all the time.....never had one single problem (I also have 336 buffers, so it could be latency, or it might be a long release patch)
good luck, I can say it is not midi hang

Only thing is in any 9x based Windows O/S - and ME is a 9x one - the performance gets worse with more than 512 meg. You might even expereince out of memroy errors - Win2k or XP will help!

Mmmmm....shouldn't be a RAM thing....512 is certainly enough to get started and shouldn't cause any MIDI hangs.
Probably more of an issue with you Keyboard and MIDI interface....what are you using? spectrum

I use an Audiophile 2496 which has the midi built in, and Cubase 5.1r1.
It is odd as I also run Sampletank for more than 1 instance, but I get this problem with Atmoshere on the first instance. An update is that I have now had the problem just using one note, and again, a midi hang. No other of my VSTi's has this problem. The soundcard guys, said Atmosphere is remarkably intensive!!!, but did give me a lot of good advice re tuning, mobo drivers etc, which I had already done.

you might want to PM spectrum, and then he can give you a support email/phone number for them.
Atmosphere is rock solid, and I have never heard of this or read it on any other forums/boards......so talking to eric, I think he can best point you in the right direction for help. hope you get it fixed, because it is really a great "synth"

Cheers M-H, I have spoken to Spectrasonics who pointed me to M-Audio.
So far no luck. Its looking as one of those instances were a rare combination of components may be the culprit and will not be solved until I change my system spec somewhere. Such is life.

Appologies My ISP is having problems with incoming e-mails (NTL) and may suffer for some while yet I understand, due to mods to their system.
