AuthorTopic: Battery automation-midi experts read in!

i was playing with battery in fruityloops, when i decided to hit record, then randomize batteries settings. When i looked in the automation list, i saw that there was an automation channel to control the depth of the modulation matrix. Controlling this would be very usefull to me, but if i simply press record, then tweak these settings, they are not recorded. Im currently erasing all of the excess recorded automation in my randomized battery .flp (two hours in- close to a thousand parameters) so i can record this parameter.

Now, why does this feature not get automated unless i randomize it and record it? What gets triggered that i cant do manually? For extra points, what are the 'internal' and 'unknown' parameters controlling?

A fairly esoteric question, but ill love you long time if you can show me how to control mod depth without this ridiculous workaround. thanks.
