Can anyone recommend the best/cheapest place to buy Battery in the UK. Cheapest so far has been Digital Village at £89.

Cheers

Every thought about DR-008 instead?????/

I have bought and use DR much more..... Cool

Both are nice however

Yes I've tried both demos, I just prefer Battery , I think DR-008 is a little too advanced for me, I'd never use all those features, sorry Angus.

You maybe surprised what you end up using. Razz

Three problems with Battery. Evil or Very Mad

1. It has no filters, so if you want to make a sound brighter the louder it gets up have to use multi-samples. (much work and I'm lazy) Laughing

2. You can't drag sounds from once instances of battery to another, so putting together a custom kit is pain Mad

3. The thing has not been updated forever... lol

4. You can't run Slicy Drummer or Fill-in drummer in Battery. Sad

Now I do prefer the look and size of the GUI or DR and it is easier to handle in some respects... Smile

After work with both fro a while Dr-008 makes more sense to me and as I think of things I want to is able to keep up

I haven't done any wave editing on DR yet and on Battery that work really well. Cool

I like them both and I bet you'll like Battery.

Both are going to be updated soon as well... can't wait Very Happy Surprised

1. I've got a few filter plugs , so lack of them isn't a great problem.

2. You can drag and drop wav files onto a pad though can't you?

3. Must be due for one soon then, unless they don't bother with it and come out with something new.

I've just read about the RM IV VSTi Drum Machine, looks like a beauty, so I might just hang on a until July, like someone said on RM IV thread it looks like a nice combination of Battery and DR-008.

Could be a nice combo, it at least looks great.

Battery is a cool unit also and YES you can drop wav file into it Very Happy

I use Slicy and Fill-in Drummer which intergrate right into DR-008 and that is pretty important to me, so there you go.

They all have strenghts. I was using Battery today to edit sample and it really does do that well...

I sure you'll be pleased with any of them.

I have Attack also, I never use it, BUT it you are looking for Synthetic sounds and Synths sounds it is grat also

BTW - DR-008 is gay as fuck.

Don't bother with the shit.

The modules are crap - only CM-505 makes worse sounds.

Drumatic 2 shits on it - and it's free.

Battery is cool - it's standalone - Cakewalk faggots love DR-008.

Real men use Cubase (on a PC - MACs are for puffs and women)

I use Cubase on a PC and like Dr-008... Surprised

The sound depends on the sample one uses

Reg, if you can't figure out how to use Dr-008 we can always help you Razz

Drumatic 2 is cool, but can't compare with Attack

I don't get your humour Reg.
Battery is OK but I'd rather have DR 008.
