AuthorTopic: AWESOME piano and pipe organ for DIRT CHEAP!

I just picked up Kevin Moreland's Kawai Piano and Pipe Organ this Saturday. For hte price, these bad boys are pretty darn sweet!

The Kawai piano has a very 'different' sound than the typical 'classical' piano ala Steinway flavor, and is quite welcome. The high end is where it really shines, and has a very different tone. Kind of reminds me of a nice, smoky bar jazz piano player playing around on a Friday nite. It's not something I'd use as my 'staple' piano, but certainly has a quite a wide range of other applications. Price? $32!!!

The Macedonia Pipe Organ is also pretty sweet. Comes with flutes, chimes and the organ itself. Slap a nice, lush reverb onto this bad boy, and I can really picture myself in a church with the instrument. This is also only $25!

It's for Giga, HALion, and Kontakt.

Give a listen. I know pretty much any one of us can afford those prices. No, I'm not connected to this guy, but I like others to know about great deals when I find them. For this price, it's a STEAL! Prices are for limited time only, but don't know how 'limited' it is. The developer is very responsive to questions as well, which is nice.

Of course it has a very different sound; a Kawai kg-2e is about a 5'4 - 5'6"
grand. Most Steinways samples are of either a 'b' (6+feet) or a 'd' 9 feet.
So there will be a difference. It's funny you mention it reminding you of a bar jazz piano, as I find many of these in bars, restaurants and country club lounges (fuckers).

All of his stuff sounds very good. I also like the electric pianos and the handbells. Great find!

Are they fuckers for having this piano or are they fuckers for being in country clubs? Wink

Sounds great - and a real bargain at that price.

US orders only, though Sad

Well, the camel's back broke in the process of ordering the Electric Pianos and the Pipe Organ. I hate PayPal with every ounce of my being. I shut down my account. I don't know what system they use, but every single time I used them I had to create a new password. It's bizarre. I never have problems with passwords on any other sites, but with PayPal it's just non-stop. There gets to be a point when you realize that for whatever reason, your dealings with a certain company have ONLY been unpleasant. PayPal is one and UPS is the other.

I just had to vent. Sorry. Embarassed

Pough,

Have you tried writing to Kevin and asking for alternative methods of payment? He seems like a very friendly and responsive fellow. I'm sure he does other methods of payment.

I'm going to do that. I just need to settle down a bit. It must be the celt in me - I'm otherwise a very laidback guy. Well, except for when I drive, but try driving in Vancouver without getting upset!

Have no idea what the heck is going on over there in PayPal land - lots of requests recently to provide an alternate method of payment, so added PaySystems over the weekend.

And for you guys and gals overseas, have also opened the door for International orders: use PaySystems if you are outside the US (currently have International turned off on PayPal due to fraud).

Hope this helps - peace from Lexington, KY - Kev
