think of the readme file as homage to old roland manuals, and the name as homage to that cyberaktif bit 'i got your head in this box.'
well someone was asking aobut it.

the drum sounds (plus some extras) are available w/o the automation engine as 'block..'
what's with the generic gui? frees up cpu resources. by having less .bmp surface area data to refer to. the .se1 files are included as a customisation source/tutorial.. erm.. in case anyone *ahem* wants to check out, say.. an example on how to configure multi-triggers for handclaps... provecho, seņores

this is what it sounds like
http://home.earthlink.net/~plattermatic/joy.mp3 excepting the vocals, each part is one key held down on a few tweaks off a preset. imho this or a development thereof would rock as a live performance tool.

box is good, xoxos, thanx a lot.
i had some fun improvising a drum track over it, two unpredictable drums... please, make a multi-output version. is it possible to add a "re-trigger sequence" button? btw, i got the se1 file, impossible for me to resist. but a part from synth parts, i've no idea of what is happening, there (my SE level is that sad). i'd better grab google and go fetching something. wman

great work !
like it very very much, I cant stop playing with that thing requests: Multiple outs could be nice Note hold - Start/Stop button Overall Filter controlled by BPM synced LFO Seperate control for Open HH and Close HH Maybe add a percution sound unit, like a hight/low tom . . . Better GUI and thats all

here's the story on that..
i don't use a multi-out host, so i'm not familiar with preferences regarding such. i'm going to refuse to release another version, however.. i do suggest that you download the synthedit beta at http://www.synthedit.com/beta/beta.htm join the yahoo mailing list, or email me, and i'll fix you up with any help you need to install the features you want. retrigger sequence.. should be pretty easy. just connect a line (thru a level adj./on-off switch) from the measure step counter (left) to the sync inputs on the lfo.. you could have 1>many switches to select between throwing a pulse at 1 measure, 2 measures, et c. the only trouble is sometimes, syncing the oscillator generates close, but not exact results. it works better at some 'seed osc' rates, due to quantisation of output values, i guess. 'shoggoth' uses this technique and selects one of several 'fixed seed values..' picks one and adds it at time of syncing to produce one of several fixed sequences. i'll show you how. note hold, easy. filter, yes, you could rip the toms off 'block,' which has each sound in it's own container, so very easy. better gui, how does it get any better? |
