Hello there.

This is a reminder that there are only 5 days left for the special pricing on my Percussion sample libraries-

1. "The Frame"- Frame Drum sample library.
2. "Big Bottle"- Big bottle sample library.

Get them in this Super-Low price while there's still time!

Until July 1st (including) you can get "The Frame" for $22 and when you purchase it you will get "Big Bottle" free of charge!
You can purchase "Big Bottle" alone for $11.

From July 2nd and thereafter prices will be $33 and $22 respectively.

For those of you that haven't heard about these samples, here is a brief description:

These are the first Percussion sample libraries in the world to offer such powerful, innovative features with non-compromising authentic detail and realism.

Some of the features are:

-Sample formats include: Kontakt, Vsampler, and SoundFont. (Giga coming soon!)
-A large amount of 24 bit samples (The Frame- over 3,000. Big Bottle- over 1,500)
-3 microphones setup.
-4 instrument versions: ambient stereo, close miked 1, close miked 2, layered.
-Up to 16 velocity switches.
-Separate left and right hand samples to each hit.
-Up to 5 takes of similar samples for delicate nuances (Kontakt only).
-'Let ring' and muffle versions for each hit.
-Dynamic release samples. (Kontakt only)
-Numerous drum zones: center, off-center, edge, rim.
-Numerous 'beaters' for each zone: palm, fingers, fingertips, etc.
-Includes every articulation and performance musically viable.
-Logical and highly playable key map (just like hands on the drum!)
-Amazing price tag: The frame: $22, Big Bottle: $11.

The key elements behind these libraries are completeness and expressive detail.
Finally, a library that is focused and organic.

...an instrument...not a sample.

Special offer: Buy "The Frame"now till July 1st, 2003 and receive "Big Bottle" free!

Payment page? You actually *found* the payment page?

I'm still working on finding it...

Hi there.
Thanks for your comments.

As for the free "Big Bottle"-
Just purchase "The Frame" if the order is done till July 2nd, I simply add the library to the CDROM.

As for not finding the "buy" window...
Is it really hard to navigate in the site? I tried to keep things easy and simple. Any comments are welcome.

Thanks for the interest.
Take care,

It was avoiding my glance for quite a while! Finally, I found it as peer to the "mp3 demos" link. Typically I expect buy links to be at the bottom of pages, I guess! Embarassed

Unfortunately I don't have Kontakt, so I won't be able to take advantage of all the cool features. I do have Vsampler and various Soundfont players, though most of the time I imagine I'd just want to use the individual samples and map them myself in Reason NN-XT. Are all the individual samples available in the Vsampler version? I suppose I could always export it as such, if not...

Hi there.

Regarding mapping the samples yourself-
Yes you can access the .wav files but there are so many of them... you will be mapping them for quite a while, plus, mapping is not the only thing- we're talking really careful velocity switching (up to 16 velocities).

Don't forget that in the Kontakt version, The Frame alone has over 3,000 individual samples (!)
that's why it sounds so real.

As for shipping to the UK, from other users' reports it usually takes 5 days to get there.

By the way...there are 2 more libraries in the making that would blow your minds... Smile
More info soon...

Take care,

This library is amazing, not just for the price, but period. I'm using the Kontakt version and the sample mapping is meticulous. I am not much of a drummer, but with these samples, you can get a realistic sound in minutes from a MIDI keyboard.

Excellent buy...

So, which has the better mapping (and sample count) between Soundfont and Vsampler? Sort tempted to go Soundfont, since NN-XT could load those too, but I suppose I could export VSampler to SF2 as well!

So I definitely want to buy: I just have to decide on a format! Laughing

Vsampler has a little more samples to it than the Soundfont version.
Doing a simple translation to SF2 is opening a can of worms. The envelopes get really screwed up...

hope this helps,

Does indeed: Vsampler wins over SF2...

Now, final question: does Kontakt format come with separate .wav files? I might just be crazy enough to get that and do my own sample-maps, if it truly has that many more samples! Very Happy

Honest, I'll get this all figured out by July 1! Wink

Kontakt has much more samples than the Vsampler version. It is simply due to the fact of the 'cycle' feature Kontakt has.
My sample library makes use of this feature and every articulation has up to 5 takes that is being triggered in a cycle whenever you hit a key, meaning that your perormance will sound slightly different each time you hit the key- like in real life.
So to be exact the Kontakt version has 3 times the amount of samples than the Vsampler version... around 3,500 (The frame alone!)

And yes, the Kontakt version comes with the .wav files.

Take care,

sounds very cool. what's the story on a giga version? I don't use Kontakt or Vsampler, and my understanding from comments here is that the soundfont version isn't as good. any chance of compatibility w any of the Muon or Linplug sample players?

thanks

hi there.
There will be a Giga version for sure.
I will announce it when it is ready.
Other formats I am looking into right now are Halion and EXS24.

The sound quality of all formats is the same, and also the amount of articulations. The only difference is the amount of samples since not every sampler supports randomization or cycling between layers which the Kontakt version uses extensiveliy (up to 5 takes of each articulation per velocity switch!!!)

Take care,
nightspan

hate to be such a penny-pincher at this (great) price, if we purchase now, does that include any future formats as they become available?

Good question - I want the Giga version, but I'd rather pay the $22 and get the "Big Bottle" free now, rather than miss the sale price altogether....

What's the scoop on this Teomi?

Ok let me explain a few things Smile

Since this is a really big library, I cannot have a one CDROM with multiformat libraries. (The kontakt format is around 1GB when uncompressed!!) so that means that if you would want a multiformat collection I will have to send you a few CDROMs.

It will not be completely free. There will be a $5 extra charge for a multiformat.
Since every format was individually programmed (there wasn't any use of translation software) I think this is a heck of a deal don't you think? Smile

Anyway, as soon as I get all the last orders in the mail I will add an option to my site for multiformat copies.

If you have any other suggestions please let me know.

Thanks for your interest!
Take care

Just remembered, if you want the upcoming giga version but want to use the sales price, just send me a private Email and I'll take care of you.

I am a musician like all of you, and my motto is getting the best products out there at a price that anyone can afford!
So far it is paying off!
I am sure that those of you who already got the samples could see the levels of detail and realism...

More to come Razz

This is exactly the sort of thing I'm into: I've even written an MFX to do the 'cycle' functionality with any sampler! And NN-XT also handles this natively. I'm up to the work of mapping it myself: I might even be able to batch-automate it, depending on the .wav naming scheme...

So I purchased the Kontakt version today: thanks, teomi! Very Happy

Hi Markleford,

I read with interest your last post concerning a own MFX to get the "cycle functionality" with any sampler.
I already purchased the VSampler version of Teomis samples (still waiting for post) but I would be very interested in your "cycle function" and would eventually also get the Kontakt version.

Could you tell more about it?
Would it work with VSampler?
And is it something you would sell?

Regards

Well it came today so thankyou Teomi.

The irony is I bought it because it looked so brilliant - I like the idea of a full instrument to play with - most samples just aren't subtle, alive or expressive enough for me - but I don't have enough harddrive space left to install it and don't have Kontakt either yet.

I know this sounds silly but I am planning to get my next DAF (digital audio funstation) later this year and Kontakt will be my main sampler (after months of trying demos etc) so getting the Drum is part of that preparation - thought I'd grab it while its at a bargain price.

However, in the meantime if anyone knows if its possible to import Kontakt nki files into Reaktor or convert between the two I might have a play with it a bit (I have enough space for a temp install - I just don't want to keep it there at the moment because I'm down to my last 2 gigs). Reaktor and Kontakt use very similar mapping so is this possible?
