AuthorTopic: Bass synth and Beat slicer

Im a hip-hop producer and moving from reason to cubase, however am having trouble with these two areas on what VSTs to choose from. I realise Trilogy is 'the' bass synth i need because all the other synths ive tried sound way too electronic... Is there any other bass synths out there with are a bit cheaper and dont sound so electronic... Its hard to use these types of bass sounds for soul/jazz tracks.

Also i am having trouble finding a good beat slicer. Intakt seems to be exactly what i want as i want to cut up the sample in Recycle and then flip it around in cubase. However seeing as intakt isnt released yet, what are the good choices out there?

Thanks for any support.

no need to quit using reason, rewire it to qbase
