please can anyone who uses the fm7 please tell me how to get the filters to work.
i used to have a dx7 so i can get round the fm7 reasonbly well.
but i cant get the filters (cutoff and res) to work at all.
there doesnt seem to be an off/on switch that i have missed but the filters just make no effect to the sound whatever i do.

very odd.

please make me look a fool by explaining the very simple thing i am missing cheers Very Happy

Add them into the matrix as if they were another operator.

for someone who claims to have used warez in the past, you have no space to speak like that. Further, what if the guy is using a demo? How is your attitude helpful? It is statements like that that make people afraid to ask for help.

I've been havin the same problem with FM7. Would love some tips on how to do this. The reply of "Add them into the matrix..." was probably over my head so I didn't get it. Anyone else that can give me a tip or two would be great. Using the demo with Cubase 5.1 (if it matters). Thanks so much. Help

when you in an oscilator (like A) click the little button that says matrix which shows the matrix editor.. just poke around till you git your osc to go into the the filter (which is Z) then from the filter to the output.

Also(and I don't want to think of how many times I've done this one Embarassed ),make sure you have Operator Z(the filter op)TURNED ON with the operator on/off switches.

But yes, i sometimes try hacked version (as trial), just to check if "save state" works ok. I didnt do it with Discovery.

^ this is from the thread right here...

But please understand me, this isn't about using warez or not (although you indirectly suggested that by your first post in this thread) , it is about trying to help out someone who needs help instead of being rude about it thats all.

Typical French: Rude, unhelpful and arrogant.

mysteryn_11 and Nea.

What kind of stereotypical comment is that? I personally take offense by your comments. Do you even know anyone that is French? Have you been to France? Judge him by his statement, not his nationality. Both of you can go to hell.

Philippe,

Chill. It was the wanker's first post. He'll probably just disappear.

I'm all about love man, and when I read shit like that, it pisses me off big time.

Nea, who is "working on it!", has 448 posts. Keep on working at it man, it ain't going to happen.

Oh, I see, so I am suppose to laugh when you say that all French people are stupid? Oh my god, you're right, that is so fucking hilarious. What a brilliant sense of humor you have.

Anyway, it seems to me that you are the one that is stupid, since you are the one that said "get the manual" and you are the one that was told to go to hell by those guys because you are located in France.

So you are in France and you think all French people are stupid? So what the fuck are you doing in France then? Get the fuck out of France if you hate French people that much.

There is nothing funny or humourous about saying that an entire country should disappear from the planet. Whoever finds that funny has a sick mind. Period.

I don't really get how saying stuff about someones country or whatever is LESS rude than the original post of easymode. Maybe just me but it is probably much worse. god what started in this thread Help

His post was rude, and he is an asshole for posting that. So he is an asshole.

I'm not the one that turned this into a French thing. Anyway, I am out of this thread.

I know. I can be really funny at times...

Anyway, you were rude. You assumed that the original poster was using warez and didn't provide any helpful information. The person asking the filter question obviously wanted help, not a smart ass remark about the manual.

I don't care if you are French, Chinese, English.. whatever. You were being a smart ass. You could be from any country in the world as far as I am concerned.

Anyway, I visit these forums to enjoy myself, find out more about vst's etc.. not to be discriminated against. The genocide remark was way out of line. And yes, by the looks of it, only French people will take offense.

You probably waste your life answering to what you call "discriminating" posts"...instead of making music.

C'mon, people--you should know the rules by now! It's only OK to slag the U.S., not other countries, with the possible exception of Great Britain, as long as you do so in a wry and cynical manner. Extra points are awarded for ill-supported slags involving generalizations and stereotypes.

This needs to be added to the FAQ so others do not make the same mistake.

(Tongue firmly planted in cheek).

Actually, I answer posts during my breaks at work. I am not at home, so I can't make music right now Sad

I don't feel it's a waist of time to stand up for what I believe in.
