i have an old drum machine.

its a DR Rythm (graphic) pretty neat. very basic though, it includes a

Bass Drum
Snare Drum
O. HH
C. HH
Cymbal
Hand Clap...
that's it...

and it just has normal 1/4" plugs output, no midi. and a trigger output/input.

anyone have one? or possibly able to tell me some neat things you can do with them ?

Awful little thing, but handy for syncing to an SH-101, to run the SEQ.

talk about being baited

there's a page out there somewhere you can't miss with a dozen mod descriptions on them.. separate outs are easy to tap, tho the cymbal is a compound of two taps (one for the attack) snare, clap both very lovely modded.. kick.. well... i actually used it once..

if you want to check it out, there's a track at http://www.mp3.com/elementsusa called 'call your name' which features a little play with the hat params.. the signal is unaffected beyond the verb or whatever's probably going on in the b/g

yeah, the thing with that is you can't really help someone mod.. it's a pretty base process of finding the right part to remove, solder, or scratch out and just doing it. once you've replaced a resistor with a pot, it makes sense to buffer it out by adding smaller resistors.

pm me if you need any help, but there's not a lot of info you don't have right in front of you..

one of the r#s on that site affects one of the oscillators that goes into the hats.. you'll find a couple more resistors lined up with this one (i think #10 or thereabouts) that affect the other bands in the tone, so it makes sense to mess with them too.. i added a switch that affects their routing. stuff you can do.

..all straightforward Smile including the cab (and fancy plexiglass plate) it took me about 70 hours.
