Atmosphere or sampletank 2 - which one would you go for?

well they're entirely different things..i mean, ,atmosphere's main focus is pads wheras the content that will come with st2 will be covering a much wider area...more of bread and butter stuff, ,and of course some tripped out stuff too Wink

if you're a pad freak, go for atmosphere

atmosphere is alot more than pads...onto sampletank 2, if I had a beta, I could say more clearly....but right now, my vote would have to be atmosphere......you'll love it.
I may not even buy sampletank 2

As get more into VSTs I am finding I prefer the instruments with a narrower focus. M-tron for example Cool

I love the Strings eROm for Sampletank one, but don't use that much more. The pads in Sonic are really good, however.

What do you want in a vst? If your looking for mainly pads Atmosphere is the way to go, but it you want a work station ST2 is it Very Happy

You'll probably get both over time, so which do you want first? Wink

Atmo is indeed more than just pads but if you want something more akin to a hardware workstation (i.e. lots of bread and butter synth sounds) then ST2 would be a better bet.

There's no question on this one; Atmosphere all the way. It's got the Eric Persing seal of approval. I have it, love it, glad I got it.
