AuthorTopic: Absynth2 and FL Studio
normal
Posted: 10th August 2003 10:28
i'm interested in comparing notes w/ anyone running Absynth2 in
FL Studio ...

the problem ...
i have experienced difficulty running multiple instances ( channels ) of
Absynth2 in FL Studio Producer 4.12 ...
multiples send the playback into pause mode ... then give out a few clock ticks ... then pause ... ad infinitum ...

info to date ...
comments in the yahoo groups absynth users forum , and the NI forum seem to indicate that this problem is related to ASIO configuration and / or
the audio settings in FL Studio and / or the way Absynth2 outputs are
configured ...

i have had some favorable results , in a test of two channels , by setting
FL Studio audio to direct drivers , and Absynth2 to ASIO full duplex ...
this does however introduce some rather unacceptable latency issues ...

understanding of ASIO and drivers not one of my strong points ...
i will be trying several other combinations of settings , and will post results ...

my equip't. :
P4 / Win XP Pro / 2.53 G / 512 mb / Turtle Beach Santa Cruz ( a cadidate for replacement ) / Cubase Demo ASIO drivers

any help gratefully accepted ...
please include settings and system info ...

thank you ...
