i wanna control softsynths with my voice

is there any hardware which does convert voice input to midi in realtime ?

i know there are some standalone and vst plugins which can do this but there
is too much latency to do it well

i know that tc-electronics voice one can do this
any experiences about voice one ?

it totally escapes me as to what it's called, but there's some funky old karaoke toy looking device i've seen go through ebay for cheap $50 that does this.. friend who met one said it wasn't so bad.

a budget option if you've got loads and loads of time to track it down.
