Christ, I forgot how much bickering and petty bullshit goes on over there. No wonder I stay over here. Devon

My kingdom for a freeze function in SX! I wonder if this mythical feature will really be implemented in v2.0. I'm surprised Nuendo 2 didn't have something similar. Maybe it's time to jump ship and try something else. Samplitude seems to get a lot of praise for its freeze function but the main complaint seems to be its subpar MIDI support. Tracktion seems to have a very loyal following but I don't care for the interface. Maybe FL Studio and Samplitude would solve all my problems. Yeah, that's the ticket.

I'd like to know the price of the update .. Been paying 300 euros for SX upgrade. I hope SX2 fixes remaining bugs and reintroduces stuff like 'Groove Quantize' and Hitpoints ...
The guys on the Nuendo forum seem quite pissed off thinking that SX2 could be out before Nu2 gets an update. Hopefully the statement that Nu2 and SX2 should share the exact same codebase turns out to be true and everyone will be happy .

If SX 2.0 comes out in October, it most likely will not have a Freeze Function which is unacceptable.

FXFreeze looks very cool, but I love the way Logic's freeze can work offline. Seems a simpler process.

It will be cool to see what features are added, but I will be extremely cautious before upgrading, especially now that SX is working quite well for me. Remember the growing pains of SX? Absolutely miserable (saving after every operation in case of "Poof!"), and it took forever for updates to appear. I'll let other eager beavers act as "beta testers" . . .

As it took Cubase until around ver5.0 and above to get seriously tasty, I think I might hold off until at least SX 3.0 and above is out, maybe even 4.0..........I'll let all you eager beta testers do the hard yards before I upgrade, he he he. Once I know it's got all the decent features of 5.0 reinstated, then it'll be worth trying it out for the new features.
Meanwhile, I'll carry on "freezing" by clicking on "export" |
