AuthorTopic: EnergyXT Review

I have written my first review for KVR, reviewing Jorgen Aase's EnergyXT.

Have a look, I'm just blown away by this great app....at the price that Jorgen is selling it, I cannot imagine why anyone who likes VST stuff is without it.

As it's my first review, I'd appreciate any advice on the review structure itself...I will probably be doing more reviews soon enough.

Note: KVR needs to allow more characters in the reviews! 3000 is not enough.

Best wishes,

One thing I would note: giving a 1 out of 10 in a line item that is not applicable for a given plugin will kill it in the overall ratings since the values of all line items are factored in. Since there is no "N/A" mechanism available, it seems fairer to me to give a 10 for an N/A line item in the sense of "this line item doesn't apply so there are no points taken off due to any limitations or weaknesses for this plugin".

Good work, overall, and keep the reviews coming.

Good point James, thanks. I'll edit my review and make the change.

Much appreciated!

Best wishes,

LG

PS. There will be more reviews on the way...

strange, I can't get the 'N/A' for the ratings to work.

If I don't mark it somewhere from 1 to 10, I get an error 'please complete X rating' when I try to save the review.

I changed it to a 10 - the comment still stands 'doesn't come with presets and doesn't need them'.

Best wishes,

LG

Good point, James. Could you please suggest the "N/A" thing in a new topic? Maybe Ben will add this option.

I'm sorry James, but I have to disagree on giving 10/10 for an N/A line item. This is just as distortionate as giving 1/10! I'm sure a fairer solution would be to work out the average of the relevant items and use that.

Cheers
