What do you do with this? Is it for samplers or wavetables for a synth (which one?) to make it sound like a Virus?

opps - I see, seamonkey's just added that second link

I did. But I don't have z3ta anyway - does it work in any other synths (eg Reaktor)

They work in the VAZ synths-sort of.I've only got VAZPlus, and it's hard to really get a good wavetable sound-it's like I can't get enough precision on the movement through the wavetables.

Actually, the one I'd like to build is a Waldorf Q,but I don't have the patience to build the wavetables out of the Alt1 and Alt2 wavetables of my microQ Sad That, and the fact that I can't get wavetable synthesis working the way I like with Reaktor Confused

Not to mention the fact that you'd need a 3GHz+ machine to run an accurate Virus or Q emulation Sad However,I recently got permission from liqih We're not worthy.... to use his ViruxDream filter in an instrument I'm working on.Stay tuned...

Not to mention that youd have to emulate the algorithms used in said synth, good luck (youre never going to get their filter character). Face it if you want the Virus or Nord sound, youve got to buy one or limit yourselves to samples (as apposed to wavesets).

Actually, you'd be surprised how much you can alter the filter character with some judicious use of constants and scaling modules. The filter is what would make the project crash on most machines,though-it'd be at LEAST 50% of the total CPU load.
