Was hoping this would clear up the issue that I have when rendering Midi Tracks to Audio. For some reason it loses the sustain pedal controller info......
Any suggestions?

Thanks,

David Hoskins

It has fixed the real pain where, if you held the sustain pedal down for very long , it produced a loud burst of noise Very Happy

Not sure what the new Quality button is supposed to do. Can't say I notice any difference, but that's probably down to my low quality ears.

If your host rate is 48000, then you probably wouldn't notice. But if it is 44100 - old version came with a bold aliasing.

I don't exactly understand why TheGrand is so greedy on CPU, while delivering low quality.

What I also dislike in TheGrand - is that it has no feeling. MIDI Velocities curve cannot be tuned to be right, and common impression is that the sound is not connected to MIDI keyboard at all and playing apart from it.

Now I've had a chance to play with it I can hear a difference, but on the bright/ hard settings and with the anechoic chamber turned off. I'd stuck with the natural setting before and kept anechoic turned on, cos other settings sounded poor. I think this update had made all the difference and made it what it should have been to start with. Pity it took Steinberg so long to get there....... but hey , better late than never......

Biggest plus is definitely fixing noise/pops with sustain pedal. This had main sustain virtually unusable before (without a stop watch Laughing )
