Hay guys I'm looking for the best acoustic drum kits for old school funk, soul, RB type music. Obviously smooth kicks and rimshots are very important. But overall I want authentic sound. Any suggestions?

Price is no object really, I just want to know what the best is right now. Although I saw an advertisement for some new acoustic drum kits from somebody for $39 bux. I listened to the demo's and they sounded really good but I cant remember the name of the company Mad. Anyways, any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks.

free: nskit6 and the 1st Aid Kit's Acoustic Kit have useable samples.

$100: Sonic Reality stuff. I just got a copy of the Studio Drums Capsule and it's pretty tasty!

$300: BFD. It's right around the corner here, and it looks totally awesome. Don't forget that it's up for grabs in the new [ fxpansion competition ] on sectionz.com!

Thanks everyone. I just checked out Drum Kit from Hell and the demo's are really good. Although it seems geared towards rock. They're coming out with version 2 thats supposed to be 25+ gigs Surprised, that takes too much space for me. But DKH is looking pretty interesting right now. I'll definetly check out the ones you mentioned so far. Thanks again. Smile
