I'm too tired and its too late to post much right now. I will add to this tomorrow. I'm using amd 2800+ 333 fsb,Nforce2 chipset, system at
http://rightwingproductions.com
Cakewalk 3 installed no problems, Sonar 2 plugs etc, trasfered over, but leave it installed untill you can do a manual uninstall of what isn't need in 2 after you have used 3 for a while. The new Lexicon Reverb with Sonar is fantastic, and the new layout with Sonitus eq incorporated into the control panels is very helpfull. Right now:cause its new; it seems cluttered, but when switching back and forth from 2 to 3 you can feel the quality of the new layout. Anyways.. Here is a bit that I finished up using Ambience by Magnus on inserts, Lexicon on masters, Timeworks stuff in there on the subs,SuperPhaser on the subs. The song is called Seventeenmix, and the site is self delusional:_)

This fx is being a bitch in Sonar3. Has anyone gotten it to work?? Let me know please. Thanks
Other than that I'm getting used to the new layout and really enjoy the sounds I'm getting with it.. Thanks to all the people like digitalfishphones, magnus, bram, Thanks again.

Cool track Wayne. I'll have to download a few of you songs and give them a good listening. Does your website include show information? I clicked on the "show" button but nothing really came up.

How would you compare Ambience and Pantheon? The Pantheon reverb may make a Sonar crossgrade interesting.

cheers

Oops12, er yeah we've all got the fx to work - no problems. Care to elaborate?

Same here, no problems at all with the fx. Is there a particular one giving you trouble?

oops:) Sorrrry Cakewalks "Spectrafx" is being crafty with me.. I can live without it though so not a big deal. It gives me the "shut down now ya bugger ya did somathing wrong" and curses the spectrafx.dll...
Again not a big deal but looks like an interesting plug.. I'm in touch with Cakewalk on it so we'll see.

No I don't post my gigs much. However if you see me listed in Victoria,BC it would be as "Stretch".

We are a sometimes 3 piece, which adds either Sax "Eric the Red" or Keys or both if the money is there.
Clapton,Allmans, Santana, I sing and play bass.

None of the originals I write ever get played nor will they. They are stricly a lesson to me.

Thanks for the comments man. I appreciate them..

Wondering if anyone else with Sonar Producer 3 is having troubles with this plug. Spectrafx????????? It comes as part of Cakewalk suite of plugs.. Sorry to bring this back to the top. Still haven't got an answer. So I'm fishin. Thanks again.

SpectraFX works fine over here. It does use a slightly different ("modern") UI than the other Cakewalk effects, so it could be a video card issue. Then again, I would post this on the Sonar newsgroup or send in a request to Cakewalk Tech Support if yuo continue to have problems.

Still having some problem with Spectrafx, but that aside:)
Vsampler is an incredible piece of work. I'm not totally in agreement with the licensing process, but still have to say this is a big step in sequetial software synth. It plays anything you drop into it. The effect section is nice, but maybe a bit redundant within Sonar, as you can use inserts to do much the same. I like it as a sampler soundfont player with reverb. I like that you can get to the reverbs from within a midi track:0 Nice work. Now if they just look at a more sane method of copy protection, people wouldn't mind putting the time into creating instruments for this monster of a synth.IMHO

In a few weeks, they are releasing an update to VSampler 3 that essentially does away with the copy protection. You will get once license code that will work forever, on any machine.

Crying or Very sad Sorry to keep bringing this back to the top, but I'm still having a time of trying to get Spectrafx to work on my machine, which I might add works with just about everything I've ever tried within Sonar as far as plugs and vsti's go. This is a state of the art machine, amd 2800+ 333 fsb,gig of pc3200,vantec cooling,geforce4 ti,Nforce2 with good working udp. What's so different about this plug that it won't work.. I don't need it, its just sticking in my craw like the plastic stuff they use on number pads.. It's like getting a brand new car with a loose screw that won't tighten Help Wink

This might sound a bit severe, but why don't you back up any work you've done and reinstall Sonar? Maybe it was somehow corrupted during install. I've an AMD 2400+ and a Geforce 3 card, and the plug-in runs perfectly. I must say it's actually pretty cool, a nice surprise. I don't see why it shouldn't run on your system.

Good luck!
