I didnīt use my Sonic Synth for more than a year because of the limited ST LE midi channels and the awful GUI of ST. Now I want to use some of the SSS (= Sonic Synth sounds Now my question to the ones who already did conversions from ST format to SF2 with the Extreme Sample Converter. How good are the results? Are there any problems? Thanks in advance

Hey there,
I bought this program a few weeks ago to convert my SonicSynth samples. I had previously upgraded from ST LE to ST DJ. Unfotunately the program remained buggy and slow. So anyways, I went through all of my SonicSynth samples and converted the ones I liked to sf. It seems to have worked okay, but I'm not a sample expert. Some samples play quite softly in sfz. I tracked the problem down to the filter conversion. The saddest part about it all is the number of samples I ended up converting...

It works without probs but doesn't make much sense cause most of the ST sounds live from the built in effect section.

Good point, I agree ! What does that mean ...? ST is by far not that great as IK wants us to think. Me too I have not used it more than 18 month... ST2 ? Naaaaaa, lets wait for the new Steinberg monster ! |
