Since we think this can be of general interest, we have decided to announce the public beta release of Vertigo v1.5 here too.
For download information, screenshot, suggestions, bugreports, etc. we have opened a sticky thread at http://www.kvr-vst.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=28153 Hope you like it.

This is off topic and very odd past problem we had with a particular person.
I don't know what is the motivation you have to repost this (maybe you want this thread closed to avoid spreading the word about our new beta?). But the issue have been solved long time ago. The customer was able to transfer his license without any problems.

As a prospective customer, yes it helps to an extent to know that maybe they are not the best at PR and business, but I know that now, its been impossible to avoid recently. However I'm far more interested in their products because I know they are a product of a combination of genius and a labour of love, not because I think they are good (or not) salespeople. Frankly I don't care, just as long as they are not actively dishonest, and I see no evidence of that. I don't labour under the illusion that someone who is great at making musical instruments has to be great at business too - that does not follow, so lets not drive them to distraction by trying to make them something they are not and maybe don't even want to be.

To all you DiscoDSP HATERS.. if you don't like them then don't buy their products.. but stop litering everything related to them with your crap.. because some of us are actually INTERESTED in their product regardless of one incident.
I am interested in Virtigo... not your opinion on an incident which got your panties in a bunch.

kuller, guys, please with all respect, this issue has already been overdone to death and I don't see any utility to keep digging it back up each time the Disco guys post a word or two at KVR.
I'm not trying to downplay the issues that S**3d and perhaps others have had, but it's between them and the company. Enough has been fleshed out in public at this point. People make mistakes, people learn, move along now please Anyway, I really dont see why all the venom comes back as soon as these guys post some good news. I know that I'm not the only Vertigo customer who was happy with their purchase of 1.0, and glad to see an update is on the way. I'm really glad that Disco keeps up communication at KVR so I'll know what is going on.... there's no reason to sour this situation. Beside that point, 1.5 is a PUBLIC beta. I'm a Vertigo customer already, but I bet theres LOADS of people out there who will try the public beta out, and get a chance to play with a fantastic instrument. If people keep trashing the Disco guys with old news everytime they show their faces, do you really think they will give you all the chance to freely test their new software? Give me a break. Thanks for listning to my rant guys, and I hope you understand. It's time to move along to bigger and better things, and I think this goes for everyone - their current customers (like me), their ex-customers (now disgruntled), the company itself, and all the rest of you guys who get to try this new stuff for free. Let's all just chill, m'kay?

Hate to actually ask a question about the product in the beta forum Just tried the Beta and ambisonix is giving me a 99% or above reading on my processor - is this a denormal issue or just processor intensive synthesis.
| george | Posted: 23rd October 2003 16:28 |
Ambisonix preset has got 256 operators wich is CPU intensive. If you get 99% peaks try reducing the operators to 128 or 64 (located under Operators, Synthesis Options). Reducing polyphony also helps. |
