Absynth 2 PC stand alone ......

I searched here and NI forum , maybe I overlooked
it but I didn't find any talk about this Confused

Anyway select a patch and click on the patch button
to open the patch edit window with the oscillators
filters and mods in .

Now take note of the settings for that patch
close the patch window, select another patch
and open the patch window again , low and behold
whichever patch you select will have identical settings to the first patch Surprised

Now click on the plumbing to turn the ocillator
off and then back on again and hey presto now
the settings change back to what they really should be Confused

Yet if the patch window is kept open while changing
patches the settings change automatically Shocked

Laughing I was trying to familiarize myself with
programing Absynth and this bug was confusing
the hell out of me untill I realized what was happening Surprised

I couldn't understand how a sine wave was making
such a sound when really it was a vocal sample
Shocked

Yeah, I have this problem. I mentioned it on the Absynth forum to Brian Clevinger about a month ago. He said he had not come across the problem before. I think this is quite a serious bug- probably it has been fixed ? - there is a new update coming out 2.0.4.

On the Mac side the stand alone version seems to work pretty well, but the VST is totally screwed up... It has a number of weird things going on, and the editor won't launch at all... They said they were working on it... Unfortunately I upgraded to Cubase SX because NI said it worked in SX, not in SL... Wrong! Doesn't work at all! Still waiting on the new update??? Am wondering if the AU version works right?

Also a known "feature".For a workaround when you're working in Cubase, open AbsynthEdit manually-it's in your Absynth folder.
Nice to see you here,Symbiant Smile

Uh, that does not work... at least it doesn't on my G4 1.25gz OSX 10.2.8 machine! I was told by NI, that vst currently does not work, and they are working on a fix! Now I don't know if they meant just on the OSX version, because it works fine on my PC, but as you just heard, the AU version works fine... Arghh! That's what I get for going with Cubase!
