lovely - just wish it had a 303 sequencer - he says hoping that someone will describe one suitable for cubase

I think it is one of the best bargains in VSTi, you get 2x oversampling, onboard FX, and a lovely synth that can create a very wide variety of bass and even lead sounds. This was one of the first VSTi that I ever bought and still one of my most used....I can be pretty certain that you will not regret this purchase!

for ericj23: How about this - get EnergyXT, and load that as a VSTi in Cubase. Then open eXT up, add the arpeggiator, add Tau Pro, and 'draw' the 303-style sequences that you want into the eXT arp, and set the arp to 'free running'... does that work nicely for you?

have fun Smile

Tau Pro is an excellent synth, and worth much more than the $35. I second the vote for Energy XT, it is also an excellent product. I just started using Cubase and Energy works great in it....

It's kind of a no-brainer for $35. Terrific all around.

what's the difference between the Tau Pro sequencer and the 303 sequencer?

Yes another vote for Tau Pro!Buy it ,buy two and give one to your mother! I can't seem to keep my hands off it-growling basses, screaming leads ohhhh yea.If only it were polyphonic.....(waits for Dave from Muon to yell at me). Very Happy

EDIT-Tau pro doesn't have a sequencer. But here's another vote for EnergyXT-a brilliant piece of software at an incredible price-Buy 3! Very Happy

drewspuppet: Tau Pro doesn't have it's own sequencer.

no sequencer- duh? whoops. why are the 'keys' labeled 1-16 then? for guy re: cubase seq.- if you're using sx then just open the step designer as an insert effect. up to 32 step sequencer, gate time velocity, tie, etc. can hold limitless programs

Huh...good point! Been using this thing for over a year now and I never even picked that up before.

Anyway, I don't know why the numbers are there....but I'm about 99.99999% certain that there is no sequencer! Unless it is very well hidden and undocumented....

Perhaps if Dave from Muon reads this thread, you can tell us: Why the numbers over the keys??
