AuthorTopic: Authorization Hell

Hi Gang......

Installed SamplTank 2 with no problem. Now time to authorize it and it's killing me. I have had 3 other people in my studio inter the #'s (just in case I was getting to mental) and it still is telling me that either the Ddigital ID or Serial # is wrong.

One thing is I don't notice the name SampleTank 2 under the "bundle" option. Anybody else have the same problem? Help?

Best,

Pounce

sounds like it's time to download a cracked copy-

seriously folks- it is every musicians RESPONSIBILITY to punish these companies that want to use impossibly annoying registration because they are paranoid/greedy piggy-piggy-piggies-

if you want a synth from one of thes companies- like NI- you should get a crack- it's only right and eventually loss of sales will teach these piggies a lesson-

it's your duty! be part of the solution- don't just avoid buying those products- get a crack- it is a much more clear message to the corporation

The better punishment is to not buy the product in the first place.

If you buy the product then use a crack, you've cost them nothing. If enough people decide "I don't care how good it is, I won't deal with intrusive copy protection" then the products won't sell.

(And don't think "I'll punish them by using a cracked copy and not buying it." Besides not being ethical, it proves their case and pushes the copy protection arms race even further.)

There are products you can't replace, but there is no product SO good that I can't do without it. Your mileage may vary.

You might want to try and repost your message in this forum here on KvR:

Got to see the aforementioned unmentionable version in operation, running flawlessly. I suppose, not being too familiar with the instrument. Anyhoo, copy protection needs to undergo some serious R&D. Some of this crap takes the fun out of using the software at all.
