I am of the opinion tha tBitheads is incapable of programming for windows with their current staff, or they just want to sell software to less than 5% of the computer using population.
Its a shame really, Retro AS-1 was an amazing softsynth, and it was the first virtual instrument that would integrate with Cakewalk Pro Audio 9.0.(even if I was only able to get 4-5 voice polyphony and use a latency of 65 ms on my old 400 Mhz AMD K6-2 and SB live) Its a wonder I got any music made back then... | |

greetings ecaep,
I was wondering about the same thing as you are about Bitheadz and XP. I have Retro AS-1 VST, that I use in Sonar 2.2 through the adapter. It's a great synth. I had recently bought a new computer and it had XP, my previous was Me when I bought Retro. I got tired of waiting on them, they have been promising support for XP for a long time now. Anywise, I went ahead and tried it in XP and everything worked beautifully. I understand they don't officially support the OS, but that doesn't neccessarily mean it won't work. In my experience, it works excellent. I hate it when companies announce stuff without being able to follow through. There are too many other good synths around that we don't have to wait on Bitheadz.
