What are the best CPU optimized VST instruments and effects? Normally they are using SSE acceleration and/or Assembler language. I hope this will be standard some day.
Some of them are - XS-1 (was the first one using SSE, as far as I know). - sfz/sfz+ - EVE, and the other ones from Dash will be updated concerning speed. Any others? | |

Im not sure about SSE but synth1 is prolly the most CPU/polyfony - efficient synth I have.
Someone had to say it. | |

In my experience one of the best is still Pro53 by NI. I am not sure if it uses SSE but it has always been one of the most efficient VSTi's that still has a good, full sound.

All Ohm Force plugins are optimized for SSE, 3Dnow and Altivec. They also contain assembler where it's needed Cheers, Jerome |
