AuthorTopic: Battery Studio Drums vs. Drumkit from Hell

I need more sounds for my Battery sampler. I've heard some examples for both DFH and Battery Studio Drums. I think DFH edges Battery's collection in terms of expressivity and beefy sounds, but Battery's collections seem to have more of a variety of drum sounds. Which one should I get?

Nope. East-West Sounds says it will ship Jan 15th...

well DFH2 would anyway just be a "little" bigger version of Drumkit from hell.... and DFH Superior will be the big mama (with it's custom VSTi and 30GB Data) and though this is very very tempting - it's a bit much. Have you considered fxpansion's BFD which has less Data and appears to be more flexible in terms of soundtweaking ???

but given only those two choices Battery Studio Drums and Drumkit from hell I'd say - go for DFH (+ Add-on kit)

Don't even fuckin' bother with the Studio Drums. Waste of money. I have them and never touch 'em. The snares are horrible, the drums are 'weak' IMNSHO. I've got a drumkit back from the EMu days that I like better than that thing. <sigh> Sounded like it had potential, but the drums they chose were bad. Sad DFH all the way. Don't own DFH, but the demo and repeated praise speak volumes to me. I can't stand the Studio kit.

I have studio drums also and never use them. DFH is far better. I like BFD better than both. But is you want to use Battery the choice is DFH...

forget both of them.

they are jokes, and not worth the money.

the only thing good about dfh is the one kick, and perhaps the toms. otherwise, youll hate it.

Studio drums is siginificantly cleaner sounding, but dead.

just forget both, and get BFD, or wait for demos of DFH 2.

TRUST ME.

--------- the snares sound like pieces of paper being hit with dead cat bones... the cymbals ring with noise, and theres weakness all over DFH1. dont buy it!!!!!!
