I'm a new Tera 2 user. I like the step sequencer/arpeggiator...but I haven't got it to work in VST mode.

Yes it does, though as an arp I think, havent tried it myself yet. Hey, are you really a Notron user ? Me too

Yes it works but start/stop is tied to your host sequencer.

Thanks for the info.
What was screwing me up when I opened up Tera 2 was that Logic 5.5.1 pc (which I still depend on)adds 10 bars to the step sequencer position. So if I dropped a pattern in bar 1 of Tera's step sequencer...nothing would happen. If I dropped it on bar 11...it sequenced. Cubase VST/32 5.1r had the seqence starting at bar 1...but the timing is iffy. Creepjoint. Yep, I've got a blue MkII unit.

say as a Tera 2 user could you give us a relative CPU load indication -- say relative to some other well-known synth?
i downloaded the Tera 2 demo and almost every preset runs a minimum of 10 -12% cpu on my P-4 2.4 gHz. yet it's rare that microTera ever pulls more than 5% -- even with pads and multi-note chords I'm thinking even if I get Tera 2, I may keep the magazine microTera around just for its low CPU usage. I seem to be getting more and more out of it. Plus the slot machine preset generator seems to be much more uesful on microTera than the full blown demo unit -- too many choices, it seems to get lost in the weeds.

I belive Tera turns off the modules if you are not using them to save CPU, thus if you only run the microTera mode in a tera 2 patch is should be just as low. Most of the Tera 2 patches use more modules and take more power. |
