is there a tarcker that allows itself to be laoded AS a vsto instrument in a sequencer (not a tracker that laods vst instruments) so you can add it and use a tarcker to generate tones for that instrument (like trollo you load it as a vst isntrument then set it as the input controller and you can use your computer keyboard) or maybe a midi fx (like the step sequencer in cubase sx)

why? you might ask ... well i find a tracker really easy to lay down a quick piano/string section and you can do fairly complex stuffs without any knowledge at all. the piano roll is good but it's not as "fast" as a tracker (yeh i'm "schooled" with a tracker Wink) also i'm horrible at the keyboard so it takes ages to do stuff that would take seconds/minutes in a tracker. the reason why i'm not using a tracer that allows vsti instruments instead is that i've always liked a sequencers "workflow" you add stuff mix it add some effects ... i haven't found any vst compatible tracker that is as smooth as a sequencer when it comes to arranging/mixing (i like tarckers for their workflow when it comes to making the music not arranging/mixing it).

thnx in advance! Very Happy

ps: i hope you understood me ... might have been a tad fuzzy :O

hi jinxed Smile

i donīt know if understood well your question , but here goes My help

1st you have Sk@leTracker ...
http://www.skale.org/
heard they are working on a "MidiSync" option , but you can allways use MidiYoke ...
http://www.midiox.com/index.htm?http://www.midiox.com/myoke.htm
... to sync it to your host
but i i think it is possible to do all you do on your host with Sk@le , but in a different way Wink
then thereīs ZTracker
http://ztracker.sourceforge.net/
... skineable Wink ... to track Midi data ... heard that thereīs nothing this piece canīt do Shocked
hope it helps Smile

best luck

thnx for the quick reply ... but i was kinda hoping for a sollution wich didn't invole an "external" tracker (since i don't needs it's other features like sample editor/wave editor, instrument editor etc etc). i want a tracker that's some sort of vsti that you load and set it as the input controller(like trollo http://www.axxeom.fsnet.co.uk/trollo.htm )/midi effect in a midi channel so it controls that channels notes and stuff ... maybe i'll check out how to make a plugin like that if it's not to hard (can hardly code tho :O)

this is a program that looks interesting tho http://alk.project-psy.com/psycleII/devplan.html

"Everything in PsycleII is a machine, including the tracker interface. This feature allows us to do something that other trackers can't: create our MIDI tracker as a VSTi that you can use in your favorite VSTi host (Cubase VST, Logic Audio, etc...).

There are a lot of advantages to this idea. For example, you can sequence your VSTi's with a tracker interface, and save everything in a single project file. You can even control mixer parameters and host automation (depending on the host) from the tracker. This opens up a world of creative opportunities that were not possible in the past."

anywayz thanks for the tips Smile

You can load FLStudio as a VSTi/DXi. It has a tracker feel to it, but does a LOT more.
