A great syn....a lead monster!
I only realize some crackling in the right channel. Can someone confirm this? This behaviour was not there in the earlier versions of the plug.

I've been using Maestro since you had it up some time ago--it is one of my top three synths, I use it a lot. I was wondering why more people weren't fired up about it...I didn't realize it wasn't available! Maestro works great, sounds great. I'll d/l the newer version later today.
A really big thank you for your generous spirit! Tom
| luCiPHer | Posted: 8th January 2004 10:00 | |
yes, i can confirm that | ||

Ik, great synth man! If there's a way to bring the CPU usage down a tad, I'd be much obliged.
| ik | Posted: 8th January 2004 16:12 | |
Did that + couple minor changes. Uploaded a beta to see if it really resolves the problem ... : http://home.mindspring.com/~ikaldor/maestro.zip Please give feedback.... Thanks, ik.

Ditto what a giant, thick sound. I am d/l'ing the new version and excited that you axxed the vu and scope. (Taxes my poor athlos 950)
| luCiPHer | Posted: 8th January 2004 16:51 | |
yup, the problem seems to be gone.
but the cpu usage did not rewally go down, so it seems the scope and vu-meter are no problem...
| ik | Posted: 8th January 2004 21:26 | |
ok, then here is a fixed version...: http://home.mindspring.com/~ikaldor/maestro.htm A very short OPlat pattern "Mad Cow" included. (Maestro IS the Cow Worked now in OPlat5.1 w/o a glich... ik.

Sorry that I am still bothering...but your plug is simply too good to ignore.
Still crackling here. For me the update didn't fix that.
| Wopelka | Posted: 9th January 2004 00:39 | |
still crackling here, too.
| ik | Posted: 9th January 2004 04:30 | |
Hmmm. Then I need you help! Would you mind to go to Ian's website and get the older version: http://www.ianweb.dial.pipex.com/ikaldor/maestro.htm and 1)-see if the old one was REALLY glitch free... 2)-is the noise coming ONLY from the right channel? (I have just small monitors ... can't notice the crackling ....) Thanks, ik.
| TrekStar | Posted: 9th January 2004 04:50 | |
This November version shows the same behaviour. Yes, the crackling depends only the right channel. If you have bad monitors try a headphone...then you can't overhear it. Hope you'll find the problem. Sorry that I can't help more....I can only give a feedback......

Great stuff Ik! The second revamp is much smoother for me and Orion. Looking foward to getting onto the 4th generation now!
| Finbar Saunders | Posted: 9th January 2004 20:57 | |
Great synth..!
No cracking noise here (P4 2.4). CPU hit is about 8.5%. Worth it for such a fantastic sound.
| ik | Posted: 9th January 2004 21:46 | |
v. 1.27 has the option to turn on/off the scope/VU meter. Also the a "Space" switch added to turn on/off the stereo effect. Should take care of any cracking noise (feedback please).... Thanks. Short mp3 demo: Made in Orion Plat 5.1. Four instances of Maestro was used. (+ one orion native drum track) (CPU usage: ~ 55% on Athlon XP 1.4 GHz) http://home.mindspring.com/~ikaldor/maestro demo.mp3 Enjoy, ik.
