A great syn....a lead monster!

I only realize some crackling in the right channel. Can someone confirm this? This behaviour was not there in the earlier versions of the plug.

I've been using Maestro since you had it up some time ago--it is one of my top three synths, I use it a lot. I was wondering why more people weren't fired up about it...I didn't realize it wasn't available! Maestro works great, sounds great. I'll d/l the newer version later today.

A really big thank you for your generous spirit!

Ik, great synth man! Very Happy I was even tempted to start laying down tracks when I started checking out the patches. But after the first loop my Orion 5.1 locked up on me. Shit! All I had going was Maestro and a Drumkit with a simple beat? Confused

If there's a way to bring the CPU usage down a tad, I'd be much obliged. Wink

yup, the problem seems to be gone.
but the cpu usage did not rewally go down, so it seems the scope and vu-meter are no problem...

Hmmm. Then I need you help! Help
Would you mind to go to Ian's website and get
the older version:

http://www.ianweb.dial.pipex.com/ikaldor/maestro.htm

and
1)-see if the old one was REALLY glitch free...
2)-is the noise coming ONLY from the right channel?

(I have just small monitors ... can't notice the crackling ....)
Thanks,
ik.

This November version shows the same behaviour. Sad Must have been the first October release that did not crackle. Unfortunately I have not saved all of them.

Yes, the crackling depends only the right channel.

If you have bad monitors try a headphone...then you can't overhear it.

Hope you'll find the problem. Sorry that I can't help more....I can only give a feedback......

Great stuff Ik! The second revamp is much smoother for me and Orion. Very Happy As for the 'right channel' anomalies, I'm not detecting any problem here? Confused Maestro's output is dang hot, but if I bring it down on a patch and/or lower the channel fader considerably, Maestro sounds fairly smooth and clean for me atleast? Smile

Looking foward to getting onto the 4th generation now! Very Happy

Great synth..!

No cracking noise here (P4 2.4). CPU hit is about 8.5%. Worth it for such a fantastic sound.

Very Happy

Very Happy Hi Andy! Very Happy

v. 1.27 has the option to turn on/off the scope/VU meter. Also the a "Space" switch added to turn on/off the stereo effect. Should take care of any cracking noise (feedback please).... Thanks.

Short mp3 demo:
Made in Orion Plat 5.1. Four instances of Maestro was used. (+ one orion native drum track)
(CPU usage: ~ 55% on Athlon XP 1.4 GHz)
