Keep readin' bud, you're way off in the weeds. I sold my license to Logic about a year ago and use Cubase SX on a PC. I've never had a Mac, nor do I want one. And what's this about a desert? There cacti poppin' up around her or something? Devon
| dr.wackler | Posted: 15th January 2004 12:41 | |||
I'm also in a good mood, so I'll help you out a bit here I believe you mean Space Designer demo. But maybe I'm wrong and finally after years you'd like to try out Digi's outdated sample editor....

| VitaminD | Posted: 15th January 2004 15:32 | |||
uhmmm.. where does it say current users get all the plugins for free?
| Broken | Posted: 15th January 2004 15:55 | |||
it's a 199 upgrade regardless for v5/6 platinum/gold users.
If you own most of the plugins already you should wait for the logic pro 7 upgrade.
| dr.wackler | Posted: 15th January 2004 16:26 | |||
Where do you have that info from?
| multree | Posted: 15th January 2004 16:49 | |||
markus fritze from emapple said that over at osxaudio.com
| DevonB | Posted: 15th January 2004 19:44 | |||
Pfft, it's an Emagic upgrade. ALL Emagic upgrades are either $149, or $199. Right? Devon
| Kim Olesen | Posted: 16th January 2004 06:18 | |||
I ordered my platinum6 to pro update 3 hours ago. Space designer, es1, es2, evoc, organ, epiano, clavinet..... HERE I COME. And for 1500 danish kroner. hooorrraaayyy Kim
| Bigg John | Posted: 16th January 2004 06:25 | |||
Apple Freakin rulz !!!! 199$ for a couple grand worth of software. I guess I won't be missing those windows plugs at all anymore. now if we could just get a decent loop editor...
| bluey | Posted: 16th January 2004 06:37 | |||
marcus fritze can go and fuck self with his ipod dildo, better still i'll go over to osxaudio and insult the emagic crooks and criminals myself.

| ttoz | Posted: 17th January 2004 03:48 | |||
it sure is an amazing deal. everyone here is just pissed off because without a doubt, this is simply the best factory seq package in the world (it always was, just better now)....for me the $199 upgrade will only get me space designer, oh well, i have had much pleasurable use out of the other instruments. apple is very very clever. offering this at a price point similar to the other "big 2", but with a much much higher list of standard equipment so to speak. i think this is going to sell like hotcakes, and i think it's brilliant, and any logic basher can go to hell
| Moritz Morpheus MkIII | Posted: 17th January 2004 03:56 | |||
exactly right, mr.ttoz! space designer, evb3. es1, evoc, evp88..are the logic plugs I do not own..so I will go for the upgrade for shure!
| bluey | Posted: 17th January 2004 04:14 | |||
Mac logic users .. fucking choke on it ... sour grapes from an ex logic PC user.
Hey I wonder how many PC logic people payed $3000 plus to upgrade to logic 6 ? B.
| Kim Olesen | Posted: 17th January 2004 04:36 | |||
Well i for one is a logic pc to mac emigrant. The upgrade from platinum 5 pc to platinum 6 mac cost me 120 euro (and not the ridicolous amount of 3000) and they let me keep my pc licence for platinum 5, that was a pretty fair deal IMHO. So BLUEY.... let it go. Go see someone who can help you with all the hate that is inside you, please. Every logic thread you poke into gets malicious. We all know by now that you hate logic/emapple. But if you say something base it on facts, don't give us the "people who gave 3000$ to upgrade" bull.
Kim | ||||
| bluey | Posted: 17th January 2004 04:40 | |||
yeah I could upgrade too in fact for free, and then pay for logic 6 too .. but I need a $3000 PC on top of that.
I remember quite a lot of mac users having a good laugh and gloating. Did you know all scientologists use apple computers, because jobs is high up in the scientologist church. B.
| Kim Olesen | Posted: 17th January 2004 04:57 | |||
Dont get me wrong bluey. I didn't think that stopping logic on pc was a fair decision by emapple either. But alas, that is how it is, and there is nothing that anybody says loving or spiteful or otherwise that's gonna change it.... And yes macs are quite an investment. But my point is; That was then, this is now. For us who had to take a choise at that time there was 2½ serious choises. Crossgrade to SX which was a real bargain for logicusers at the time. Shift to mac, maybe getting a used g3 and beef it up with, say, a g4 1 giga cpu, as i did (not that expensive either). Or stay with logic 5 on pc for a while. Even today logic 5,51 is a really good app even though it is slowly becoming outdated. Pc users who stayed on pc have many good alternatives to logic today. There is SX, Tracktion etc. So all in all the storm that rocked the DAW community 1½ years ago ought to have been laid to rest by now. Only a very few linger on about the big ripoff. Let it rest.
Kim | ||||
| ttoz | Posted: 17th January 2004 08:53 | |||
wow you're REALLY getting some serious vfm. besides es1 (which IS good for bass, granted), you'll be getting 4 OUTSTANDING plugins. the evb3 is still the best virtual organ ever, the evp88 is not quite as nice as LL2 but it still sure has a sweet tone and uses about a quarter the cpu. the evoc is the best software vocoder ever, and space designer, well, need i say more?
| ttoz | Posted: 17th January 2004 08:56 | |||
or the better alternative, if you can choke once and for all and never have to annoy us again
| Morton G. Lore | Posted: 17th January 2004 09:43 | |||
Can you give a link to some info that prooves that? I couldn't find any indication via Google.
| Kim Olesen | Posted: 17th January 2004 09:47 | |||
I drive a BMW. And i'm sure many croocks and criminals have done so too. I use mac. And i'm sure many croocks and criminals have done so too. And so what. I don't care if mr. Jobs eats dogs of farts pink smoke. The mafia use cellphones. Sadam Hussein probably used a wintell computer at sometine during his reign. etc etc etc etc
