Except they got it all backwards. Wanted a desktop synth with all controls of ION and no keyboard, coz i already got plenty. Instead we get none of the controls but lookie another keyboard.

it's still nice for someone who can't afford an Ion and is convinced they need a hardware synth. I hope we do see more keyboard / controllers comming out this year - i'm not totally happy with anything that's out right now to be honest..

Seriously, what turned me off of the ION was that -- for as cool as it looked and as many neat little light up buttons it had, and I LOVE light-up buttons -- it wouldn't have fit on my computer desk (and therefore couldn't double as a soft-synth controller). This looks like it has the best of both worlds: control the softsynths on your DAW one minute, throw it under your elbow for a gig the next.
