You know, one thing I found outstanding about the original lightbag and dirtbag was the super-intelligent way the sustain and leslie could be controlled together by the sustain pedal--works perfect playing live (I can't believe others haven't stolen this method; I haven't seen it anyway). Now you've even improved on that with the rotary control switch! Cool

Low CPU on my 1.2 gig 512meg laptop--never more than about 10%.

Thanks VERY much. I almost never use more than four softsynths at a gig and Lightbag+ has always been one--now it's Lightbag II. Love

Having said all this, it just dawned on me--do you have a donation spot? I do owe you, ik! Smile

HOT DAMN IK! Shocked This is AMAZING! The warmth and velocity 'grind' on some of the patches, and the patches themselves - what an array! FANTASTIC accordians and transitor types as well! Very Happy Excellent manual, and I really liked the Hammond Jokes as well. Laughing

Nicely done my man, pat yourself on the back for me! Very Happy

hmmm...

I guess you tried the link under "Quick Instrument Links" above. The site's unavailable, and I notice the K-v-R describes an older version--I have 1.88 with a different GUI. Dirtbag has a lot more presets and contols (then Lightbag or Lightbag+) but totally wipes out my CPU, so I used Lightbag+, but Lightbag II is an solid improvement. I hadn't tried all the presets until after J Dub's post--otherwise I would have said the exact same things! This is a truly fine instrument.

While my site closed at mindspring Evil or Very Mad
you can get DirtBag from here:

http://s93683780.onlinehome.us/DirtBag.zip

BUT Exclamation

Lightbag II has all the organ of DirtBag. For the extra, non-organ presets you'll pay much extra cpu.
In other words, for organ presets, get LightBag II.

I noticed when you turn on the velocity response, it doesn't affect the percussion component--only the drawbars sound. (Percussion is always as if played at full velocity.) But maybe this was intentional?

Well I been playing with this baby now for a few days and I have to say, I'm well hooked on it. Took me a while to get used to the parameter pages - got it now tho, thank's to the manual which I only bothered to read last nite (that's a good read too, I like the Hammond history and jokes). I tried to send a review to KVR but I can't 'cos I'm new here - not enough posts.

This sounds like the real thing to me, I mean the real thing recorded of course. And not just Hammond sounds, some good, fat sounding pipes too.

This whole VST thing is new to me, I've downloaded a few that I've seen here and I'll probably get some more. But so far, this is the only one I really rate.

Well done Mr. IK. What else do you have..?

A program that lets you build your own interplanetary VST effects (IVST's), from existing (used) modules like Apollo.sep and other space junk or old .set files from Star Trek etc...

Shit!

Sorry but that's the best answer I could come up with. Have to go now...
