Hi
I have Cronox and was thinking of purchasing the two soundsets avalible from linplug-but at $30 a shot I wanted some feedback on them from any people that has them. So are they worth the asking price? I am into a variety of styles :reggae, drum and bass, dance. Flipper.

I'm a bit too pissed to go into details, but I personally felt like they were a waste of money, as was the synth itself. I thought I couldn't go wrong with Linplulg after buying Albino, but both Cronox and Element P were massive disappointments, and the third party sounds were the icing on the cake. Of course this is just my opinion and I'm sure plenty will disagree with my view, but if you want my advice, save your money.

I wasn't that impressed. way too digital, and i hate flipping thru all those presets. does anyone know how to sort them? it seems a royal pain in the ass. all in all though, they're OK, but nothing special, or nothing too lush really, mostly tingy and ringy. Bah.

i think the soundset 2 is quite good, especially the arksun patches. not a huge fan of the kenfen soundset 1 thought. also look here for some other third party patches

I've just ordered CronoX and I think I will make a soundset for it. I've been playing with the demo last week and I already made some nice warm basses and pads! I don't know what it is, but I like the sound of it.

it's actually capable of some great sounds but you've really got to know how to program it. I really look forward to your soundset, thanks for letting us know |
