Ew, the bug in that thread was fixed a while ago - I don't think that's the problem (plus it works fine in SX for me).

Apuhjee, private message me some info, like what happens when you try to load it (does cubase load it at all or does it crash when you try to bring up the gui?), and some info on your system.

Thanks

This is obviously not limited to be a SX problem. It also don't work with VSTHost, which I use to test demo plugins (opens very fast and ready to play realtime).

Someone had trouble with it in Orion Platinum too but it turned out to be an unlrelated product issue:

After deleting the rewire-dll of VSampler3 everything works fine again.

Don't know if that's any help.

Hello agent007,

I saw your problem as well and am looking into it. They are probably all the same issue.

Thanks WhiteNoise, here are my system specs:

Asus P4PE/533/2.4 oc'ed to 2.7
512 DDR @ 400
Hammerfall 9652 @ 256
DSP Factory
UAD-1
Cubase SX2

It shows up in the Instrument list, but nothing happens when it's selected for a slot.

Could I please have some extra days for your contest due to these problems??? I'm losing valuable time here! Very Happy

Thanks ~ jp

FYI - I tested WNA (purchased) in Nuendo 2 and it's works just fone. Perhaps it's a problem with the demo?
WhiteNoise
Posted: 23rd February 2004 17:05
Could be - I haven't heard any reports of problems with the full version.

I fixed a couple bugs, both with the demo and in general that were causing problems. Please check it out now!

Sorry, I didn't update the page yet. But the file is uploaded. If you'd like me to just send you the updated dll (700k) instead of downloading the whole file, I'd be happy to. Just email me at admin@whitenoiseaudio.com. I can't make any gaurantees that it will work for you, but I did work with another person who was having problems and I can confirm that it's working on his machine now.

Again, sorry for any inconvenience.

[edited cuz I was being a dick]

I'm glad that your fix helped someone out (they are obviously not using Cubase SX2)

[more dick editing]

I was hoping that a test drive of the Demo would prove this all wrong, but tha t'aint happenin' man.

Good day ~ jp

Dear Apuhjee,

I'm guessing from your post that it's still not working for you - I'm sorry to hear that. The plugin was tested in SX2 and found to have no problems on test machines. I'm doing my best to ensure that the plugin runs stably on all machines and platforms, however there are always situations that can't be anticipated. If you are willing to help me track down this bug, I'd be happy to give you a copy of the full version for free for your time.

Sincerely,

@apuhjee:

WhiteNoise is too busy being professional, so I'll say it: cease your experimental spelling immediately.

And play nice or piss off.

Maybe you need Brail?

The way you are handling this is telling me that you and your products aren't ready for prime time, which was the first impression I got after looking at your GUI.

I was hoping that a test drive of the Demo would prove this all wrong, but tha t'aint happenin' man.

My dear friend,

The Demo actually works on Cubase SX2 !
Without any problems.

I run it currently. Wink

Which version of SX2 do you run exactly?

BTW: Your "tone" is not well situated here. You should be more cooperative, if you want something...

Not a single post previous to the most recent stated that it IS or SHOULD BE working in SX2. At least we are getting somewhere now... it appears I have a problem in my setup that no other users are experiencing... (but we wouldn't really know that, because absolutely ZERO people posted to this thread saying, "Man, the problem must be isolated to your machine, cuz White Noise is working fine here on Cubase SX2."

I just noticed the WhiteNoise forum, so I'll take further correspondence over there.

BTW - the spelling is not experimental, it's phonetical ya ass Laughing

http://dictionary.reference.com/wordoftheday/archive/1999/12/15.html

Maybe I should change it to apogee9 so I can be cool like you?

My "tone" has never situated well. I'm blunt and to the point.

Still looking for that Personality EQ plug...

Thanks for your feedback, btw.

Man, the problem must be isolated to your machine, cuz White Noise is working fine here on Cubase SX2
now.

Have you really downloaded the last actual demo yet?
What is the exact creation date of the demo dll you currently use ?
Which version of SX do you use ?

... would all be helpful to trace the problem.

Doing it again wasn't all that necessary, as I read your post after posting what you quoted.

I'll put together a complete synopsis and post in the WhiteNoise forum.
