I am curious to see if the new sonic options (hype feature) have any impact on the sounds of Hypersonic.

Do you feel it can rival the quality of hardware machines like Triton or Roland ?

I have already heard it but it wasnt int very good surroundings so I cant tell really...

Thanks

Hi, In response to your question on Hypersonic; I have just created a piece, using a mixture of 12 tracks, at the same time, US-1(synth: better than many mid-range ones), GP1(Acoustic Grand Piano: one of the best I've tried) and NB-3(organ: not far off from B4). The great thing is that it is only using 20% CPU in SX2 at 32bit 96k along with BFD(full drum kit) makes 30-40% and so I feel quite happy, but when I began playing D'Cota and Cube alongside; I realised, in comparison, the slight loss in dynamics with Hypersonic and, therefore, may replace some of the main instruments in my creation, but not that many.

Overall I find Hypersonic to be a great workstation, especially with the new roms, extremely quick and easy to use, a couple of purchases not regretted.
Hope this helps,
Paul

You also forgot the 0 CPU load too. Still, I'm waiting for the day a piece of software actually equals hardware in the PCM based sample realm. I'd love to eat my words that software doesn't compare to hardware, mostly based on A) poor patch programmers for software B) lack of good effects, and C) poor samples. Korg, Roland, and Yamaha seem to have some of the best patch programmers in the biz working for them.

0 CPU Load DevonB????

I think fucking not!

Obviously the hardware is powered by CPUs in this case.

Just because there aren't CPU usage monitor displays on hardware synths doesn't mean...................................................
