Hi
Just trying to drum up some interest for this developer; i purchased his Bass Synth; BAZZOID which is now close to a ver2 release and beleive me it is a sound investment @$18, he also has a new prog called Oxywavez Live which looks interesting. www.maxxclaster.8k.com I contacted him with a few suggestions and a couple of months later (today) get an E-Mail telling me he has instigated them all and redesigned the GUI and thrown in a 200% speed increase for good measure!!! I think this 3 osc synth has some of the deapest and meanest basses I have heard so give it a whirl. Flipper.

You are too quick. Bazzoid information says "Not yet ready".
Also a warning, the site is one of those with pop-up adds that open when you first go there, and again when you close the window. Robert

Hi
Yes not ready yet; Hopefully very soon! I do have the Ver1 of Bazzoid which as stated is very nice to work with as it has an intuitive interface that gives you visual feedback (via a nice little graph) on edits to the ADSR and each of the Oscillators which can be twisted into throwing out a wide variety of sounds. just tried out the Bazzoid 2 demo.. pretty nice goes down pretty low before it gets buzzy/farty sounding.. which is one of my main issues with a synth - its functional range. the chorus is just a simple on/off but it does its job.. I like playing with the oscillators and watching the oscilliscope graphic change from a triangle to a pulse to a saw and vice versa.. the demo was packaged as an executable (*.EXE) but with winrar installed, one can just right click on the file and chose which folder to extract to.. no biggy. overall hmm not bad.. especially if he only wants 18 bucks for his synth.. hmmmmmmm.

I just tried this plug and it is very nice sounding. But on several of the patches I noticed my CPU level redlining (and then disabling any audio) when I played 3 or more notes. I had to switch to another patch to get it back to normal, so it seems as though it went into a loop of some sort, though no audio was coming out at the time. (When the spike occurs, the audio goes off.)
Has anyone else experienced this? I emailed the developer, but I haven't heard back from him yet. I'm using Tracktion on a 2.4GHz P4M with XP.

I'm also curious to hear what people think of this synth...
thanks | ||||

this didn't do much for me, no sounds here that I can't get elsewhere. That said I've only been farting around with it for 5 mins.

How does it compare to the deep bass of the ES1

On first listening-and-mucking-around anyway, this sounds pretty good for such a simple synth. Was considering getting it since it's so cheap, even though my bass bases are well covered by other synths

this is a good purchase for bass. WAY useable. Lots of things sound good until you put 'em in a mix. This sounds great either way. for bass mostly.
Does intel have any plans to improve the pentium range so that their users can stop having all these demormal issues and stuff??? It really seems odd. I use Athlon XP, and although I would stop short of trying to tell anyone which is better, I personally would never consider a pentium chip after what I have heard here at KVR. Then again, I guess this particular case might not be denormal stuff, but it is sure common enough that everytime someone has a problem and lists their cpu as P4* I can't help but assume that it is. |
