I own the Spectronics trio and NI Pro53 which are great for CPU load. I also seem to own many nice sounding plugs such as Reaktor, XPhrase and Cameleon 5000 that push the meter very high in comparison. What are some good VSTi’s that are CPU friendly? I try to avoid any type of freeze function because I keep tweaking and balancing parts and it seems that I sometimes spend most of my time waiting for tracks to freeze. | |

iBlit is kind to my processor. It's monophonic but it sounds better than a lot of commercial synths and it's free. It's big brother, polyIblit, isn't as easy on the CPU but it sounds incredible. |
