Hello dear musician colluegues.
Perhaps the topic is a bit confusing to you, but let me explain. I made a handful of tracks at my friends place with Fruity Loops just for fun a couple of years ago. But because I don't want to purchase FL (not to mention that FL3.4 isn't aviable anymore) and I refuse to use warez, I was looking for alternative VSTi's for reconstructing the tracks. I like total control more over "export to wave", so this is why I'm asking. Personally I already found a very good alternative VSTi to the FL SamplePlayer (for Drumsamples). It's the MUON SR-202 that is included in the Computer Music Magazine (UK). Good price for what you get (I guess it was 5-10 Euro for an CM issue). Now I'm looking for an alternative to the TS-404 from Fruity Loops. Best for free (prefered) or at least very less money. The first thing that came in mind was the reFX CLAW, but with only one oscilator I'm a bit limited because the FL TS-404 has 2 OSC, Envelope, Filter, 1 LFO and a Distortion setting. Synth1 looks the most promising, but didn't resemble it so far and I don't know how the routing is in this VSTi. hm... Here's how it looks like in FL: ![]() Perhaps even the answer is right in front of my eyes and I don't see it thanks to the trees. Thanks in advance for giving suggestions. Fox |
