AuthorTopic: Anyone using Emulator X yet or other hardware-software combi

Hi. I am toying with the idea of buying an Emulator X but could do with some advice on how exactly it would work with my soundcard - I've emailed Emu but no response so if anyone can help that would be great!

Does anyone know whether it would be possible to bounce down audio from the Emulator VSTi in the same way as bouncing down a normal VSTi track? Or does the fact that it has its own hardware audio outputs mean I have to treat it effectively like an external device and record its audio live into my normal soundcard?!

Related to this, is it possible to route the audio from such a card through the ordinary soundcard when monitoring, or does the emulator audio have to come from the emulator hardware outputs and routed to an external mixer?

Cheers if anyone can help

i think youve misunderstood how the emulator works

its just a vst sampler exactly like any other - no hardware filters or anything

- but it wont run unless it detects a suitable emu card in your system
